Artist and Teacher

When painting I endeavour to create something that is cheerful and pleasing to the eye. I focus on the joy, colour and movement in our natural world. I enjoy walking and when I am out and about roaming the   countryside I often stand and look at the scenery, the trees and the flowers. Occasionally there will be a breeze in the air allowing flowers to gently dance and sway, this is part of what I endeavour to capture. I believe that the spirit of joy and lightness that was with  me when I created my pictures will pass to others.

I studied fine art and related subjects at Watford College of Art and at Leicester College of Art and Design I was awarded a degree in book illustration.

Wishing to share the pleasure of art I trained to be a teacher. I have taught art privately, within adult  education and health and social care settings.

I live in Glastonbury and paint for pleasure and to share the pleasure of art with others. I work in acrylics, pen, ink and watercolour. I occasionally run workshops and exhibit across the South West of England.
