Jennifer Parkin

I was born in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) in 1950.  One of a very artistic family – all much better than me!   So I only really started drawing in my forties when a friend, Patricia Wood Broderick, taught me that I could draw.  She also taught me watercolours.

Life interfered with my art and in 2004 I relocated to Britain.  After a few years of wandering around trying to find my space I moved to Pembrokeshire, Wales and found the time and opportunity to draw and paint the wonderful landscape around me.

At the end of 2013 I moved to Glastonbury where all sorts of changes have taken place and I discovered the joys of intuitive art.   Using pastels I create images of the plants and trees that I am drawn to.     New ways and new things are emerging!
